Chaney went home with Granny for a few days so Mom and Dad could recover and spend some time with Miss Keaton. Apparently they have been spending quite a bit of time outside.(the new yellow t-shirt was a gift from cousin Missy-thanks Miss!)

She's making the rounds on her Southwest Missouri tour...Great Granny B and Great Grandpa came over today to stay with her for a while so Granny could go into the office for a bit. And then tomorrow she leaves for a few days on the farm. Grandpa Luna has asked twice if we have "creek shoes" for her so it sounds like they have plans for a big weekend. (It will probably take her a week to recover once she finally makes it back home!)


Meanwhile, back at home there has been a lot of sitting around staring at Keaton...

Settling In...

We brought Keaton home on Sunday and she has already settled right in. She's doing great and Chaney seems to only mildly be aware of the new little girl in the house. We had a bit of a sleepless night our first night, but nothing more than to be expected. All in all we have been blessed by another healthy and happy baby girl.

Keaton Finley Werner

So here we are! Keaton Finley Werner was born yesterday at 2:03 p.m. weighing in at 8.9lbs and measuring 22 inches long. (Actually a bit longer and thinner than Chaney which really surprised me, we thought for sure she was going to tip the scales closer to 9lbs!) And check out all that thick dark hair, wonder if she'll keep it or lose it and turn blond like her sissy...

Everyone is doing great...actually fantastic. She slept 5 hours straight last night. That's more consecutive hours of sleep than I've gotten in the last few weeks! (Wish I could say the same for Daddy,I think he had a rough night on the little couch in our room...)

At any rate, we are settled in and will be hanging out here at Missouri Baptist Hospital until Sunday...more to come...

24 hours!

Well we are officially ready...both pjw and I have had hair cuts, cleaning ladies have been here, I met Anne on Friday for a last minute mani/pedi...everything on the list has been checked off! I even got some last minute work done this afternoon. (In fact I think even Chaney is preparing herself, she slept till almost 9:00 this morning! Its like she knows uninterrupted sleep is going to be hard to come by soon)

Nothing left to but watch National Lampoon's Vacation and dream about the Werner's future road trips to Wally World.
