I. Love. Belize.
I kind of glossed over it in my previous post, what can I say, potty training trumps all; but I wanted to share a few pictures from our trip.
I. Love. Belize. A relatively short flight, same time zone, incredible food, totally affordable (once you're there-flights can be a bit pricey)...Belize has earned a place on my favorites list!
Oh, and did I mention we dove with sharks? Yes, I saw sharks, our guide actually chummed the water, and then I jumped in under my own free will. I was pretty proud of myself actually. (ok, they were Nurse Sharks-harmless, but still very "sharky" looking and big; 10 feet or so!)
So a few pictures of the trip...
We took a sunset cruise our last night.
We had our own pier. (Thats Gabe and Matt, ahhhh.)
A shot of the pool/beach at our place.
And I thought this one was kind of funny...it looks very scenic and tranquil, but this is Matt chasing after his shoe that he accidentally kicked off walking back down the pier from a dive trip...

Helllooo!
Well we are finally getting back into the swing of things. It has been a crazy first few weeks of 2012; a house rehab, a move, a vacation (much needed if not in retrospect poorly timed)...and the most recent item we crossed of the Werner to do list...a potty training program! Yep, we have cut our household diaper purchases by half - Chaney's in her big girl undies now!
Shew, it wasn't half as bad as I thought it was going to be. And as much as I would like to think our potty training success was attributable to excellent parental coaching, the real credit probably lies with Chaney. What can I say-she's a rock star.
Here she is our first morning making the big switch...
Good job Chaney!

We Did It!
Okay, well, we did it about a week ago...but it has taken us the extra week to be able to sit in the living room after the girls go down, relax and not feel like we should be unpacking boxes! We are in!
It is awesome! And I say this all the time because it just seems so unreal, but the living room in our new house is the size of the entire first floor of our old house. (which, by the way, included our kitchen, living room, dining room and foyer!) Its not that our old house was that much smaller square foot wise, but it was all vertical. The new house is a story and a half; and let me tell you, the difference is life changing! (and I'm not kidding!) I'm not sure who likes it best - Mom, Dad, the kiddos...or Nellie! (I think the new space has added at least two years on good old Nellie girls life!)
So I will post some pictures soon of the house, but below are a few of the move in process...
Of course the girls loved the boxes...
...K loved the boxes so much, one afternoon she crawled in and took a two hour nap! (you can barely see her, but shes in there!)
We got a little snow last week; this is the view from our backyard...we are in Kirkwood, but it looks like Ozark County! The first "barn" you see is Patrick's "no girls allowed" hide-out...
And with all the extra space the girls each have their own TV watching chair. (in fact all the furniture we own is in this room; our "formal" living room is completely empty!)

The Kitchen
A little video from Christmas morning that includes "the kitchen"; although you only really get a good view of the laundry center side from the video. It is kinda long, but if you can make it to the end (or fast forward) you will get a "we love you" and a "merry Christmas"!
Oh-and I couldn't help but post this picture of my favorite step (yes, this is one step) of the assembly...it took us a solid 3.5 hours to get it together! The first of many late Christmas Night assembly projects I'm sure!

Some Christmas Pictures
Its taken me a little time to get the pictures off the camera from Christmas but here are a few of the highlights!
The new house has a couple of outbuildings; PJW has been saying since we closed on the property he was going to put a "no girls allowed" sign on one of them and call it Daddy's house...Santa must of heard him...
The girls got the baby beds that my Mom and my Aunt Deby had when they were little. Both C and K really love them!
Santa also brought the girls some school desks...
And here is K at Grammy's with the new vaccuum. (K liked to put on everything she opened the moment she opened it-notice the pj pants and the apron)
The Burns girls.
...and finally my two cute girls. (check out C's watch; doesn't she seem so grown up!)
